About US

The New York Mutuals play base ball by various years in the 19th century, but represent the 1870 National Champion Mutuals wearing replicas of the actual uniforms worn by that team. Our mission is to educate the public as to the roots of our National Pastime, Baseball. The club was established in 1999 as an extension of the Old Time Base Ball program at Old Bethpage Village Restoration in Old Bethpage, New York. The Mutuals travel all across the country playing established teams as well as instructing new players how the game was played. The team has played in 15 different states and Canada. The players are all experienced 19th century base ball players with a vast knowledge of the different rules, customs, and history of the game. The team is available to help celebrate your event. Contact us for further information.
